St. Cornelius, Fool-for-Christ of Krypets Monastery

This issue of The Orthodox Word features the life of a Russian saint who embodied numerous qualities: those of a prophet, an ascetic, a miracle-worker, and a fool-for-Christ. Like many other saints who lived just before the Revolution of 1917, he clearly foresaw the calamities that were soon to befall his fellow countrymen. His monastery, located in the northwestern Pskov region, is now a popular place of pilgrimage, and miracles continue to occur at the site of his holy relics.
